“Crises normally help out recruiting,” Fraser said. “Canadians, since Donald Trump has gotten in, we’ve got our elbows up. Men and women like to get in there and do things that are fighting and defending our nation.”

This is a level of delusion I can't wrap my head around:

US defence budget ~900B, Canada 48B

US personnel 1.4M, Canada 63,500 (no, seriously). 

US fighters ~1,900, Canada ~66

US long range missiles ~virtually countless (Minuteman, Trident, ALCMs, JASSMs, hypersonic, etc etc) . Canada: none, we’re relying wholly on NORAD (ie the US… )


But hey, in Canada, facts be damned - up here just saying words creates reality. 

Words=reality was also Carney’s entire speech at Davos. Nonsense that can’t stand the test of the ...
